The components of our memory care community

We’ve invested incredible effort into imagining the entire experience of memory care at Yorkshire Village. This involves running through the resident experience, from the discovery process of exploring the community and meeting staff, to getting settled into a private residence, and experiencing our daily memory care therapies. 

We examine how what we’re experiencing feels for the resident

At each stage, we examine how what we’re experiencing feels for the resident, we anticipate what wants and needs they are likely to have, and we make a plan so that we’re ready to address each resident’s needs before they need them. This may come in the form of grounding techniques if a resident feels anxious, an outdoor stroll if they feel listless, or other common activities. The central theme is that we’re always ready to serve, and that a resident’s wants and needs are met.

We are memory care specialists, and we provide care and a home for older adults who experience a range of things from mild cognitive impairment and mild memory loss to more advanced memory loss and alzheimer’s disease. Our large, spacious, secluded property makes us excellently suited for older adults with memory loss - we have groomed gardens and several acres of outdoor spaces which means we’re quaint, quiet, and a place that minimizes environmental stress or distractions. Our residents love making their home here, and our staff is like a second family.

We are also an assisted living community and provide the range of personal care services that you will find in most assisted living programs throughout Southern California including 24 hour on call service.
